Where should I give?

Does it sometimes seem as though you’re always being asked to support more and more projects? That was not the Ad Council’s intent when they approved the raising of funds for our many worthy causes. It was our hope that you would find the ones that were nearest and dearest to your heart and support them to the best of your ability.  We wanted you to have choices and some of them are:

4 Church Budget – to keep the lights on

4 Congregational Care Fund – to help our members in need

4 Hunger Offering – to answer needs in our community

4 Kids Hope – a mentoring program in the schools

4 Music Fund – to repair and replenish instruments and music

4 Capital Improvement Fund – to repair and improve our building

4 Various Mission Projects – to help others in need

We’re a giving congregation and these are all good causes, but we realize that budgets only stretch so far.  We encourage you to choose the cause(s) you feel are important and give them your support.  Together, we’ll get it all done.

2  Corinthians 9:7 says “Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.”

Sue Nielsen, Ad Council Chair

Ad Council approved the creation of a new designated fund to be used to assist families and/or individuals within our congregation who have a specific need.  This fund is ongoing and is administered by the Congregational Care Committee.  Anyone wishing to donate to this fund may do so by indicating "Congregational Care Fund" on their giving envelope and placing it in the offering plate or mailing it to the church office.  Thank you.

Whoever gives even a cup of cold water to these little ones in the name of a disciple...truly I tell you, none of these will lose their reward.
