“Is anyone of you in trouble? They should pray. Is anyone happy? Let them sing songs of praise. Is any one of you sick?  He should call the elders of the church to pray …”

—James 5:13-14

Hospitality – providing a welcoming atmosphere on Sunday mornings with greeters, coffee, refreshments and information at the Welcome Center, as well as hosting special times of fellowship and recognition following worship.

Care and Comfort – sending cards, making phone calls and visits, supporting the work of the prayer shawl ministry, providing meals and drivers, as well as administering the Congregational Care Fund.

Outreach – Welcome Brochure, Visitor Bags and follow-up notes to those who visit our worship service.  We have also facilitated training in CPR, use of the AED, and safe driving classes for our community.

At the Welcome Center you will find several sign-up sheets.  Please consider adding your name to one of these lists.  It’s a wonderful way to help our church family, and who knows, you just may make a new friend.  Here’s how you can help:

  • Bring a smile and be a greeter on Sunday morning or help at the Welcome Center.
  • Bake (or buy) some treats or refreshments for our Sunday morning fellowship time.
  • Volunteer to drive occasionally if someone needs a ride for a doctor’s appointment.
  • Add your name to the list of volunteers who bring Marcie Christner to church on Sunday mornings.
  • Offer to visit our members who are homebound or unable to come to church on a regular basis.

Every offer and act of kindness is welcomed and most appreciated.  If you have questions about any of these opportunities, you can contact the church office (538-3070).
